Cook-off

The Oyster Jam Music Festival Cook-off starts at 11am on Sunday, May 21st, 2017 at Metropolitan Park in downtown Jacksonville. This is your opportunity to sample chargrilled oyster created by locals and area restaurants. We have a PEOPLES CHOICE Award and a panel of food critics, local celebrities and sports personalities judging for a winner in each style of oyster.

Contest Rules:

1. All contestants are responsible for their own cooking utensils, ingredients, table arrangement and presentation dishes to the judges. The Oyster Jam will provide the charcoal, grills, tables and oysters for the competition.
2. Each team will provide one dozen oysters of each style to the table of judges. Your team will be allowed a brief description to the judges panel and to the crowd.
3. The official set-up time begins at 9am and Peoples Choice start time begins at 11am. Your table set-up and team presentation is a great way to advertise to voters. Attendees will give you one ticket for each oyster.
4. Official judging will be the sole responsibility of the judging panel. All judging is final.
